Pargat Singh Slams AAP Over Paper Leak, Defends Aspirants

Chandigarh: Congress MLA Pargat Singh has strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the alleged paper leak controversy, accusing it of shifting blame onto students instead of taking responsibility for administrative failures.

In a post shared on social media, Pargat Singh said that rather than accepting responsibility for the paper leak and addressing flaws in the examination system, the AAP government has chosen to target the very students whose careers and futures have been put at risk.

The former minister asserted that genuine candidates who prepared honestly for competitive examinations deserve accountability from the government, not allegations or harassment. He emphasized that students should not be made scapegoats for failures in the recruitment and examination process.

Pargat Singh demanded a transparent and impartial investigation into the paper leak, urging the government to identify and punish those actually responsible for compromising the examination process. He said restoring the confidence of job aspirants requires openness, accountability, and concrete action rather than shifting responsibility onto innocent candidates.

The Congress leader further maintained that Punjab’s youth have already suffered repeated setbacks due to irregularities in recruitment examinations, and the government must focus on strengthening the system to ensure fair opportunities for every deserving applicant. He reiterated that honest aspirants deserve justice and a credible examination process that protects their hard work and future prospects
