SAD leader alleges AAP MLAs patronizing drug smugglers, calls ‘Baaz Akh’ a fraud

Tarn Taran – Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Ravinder Singh Brahmpura on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, calling its ‘Baaz Akh’ (Hawk Eye) anti-drone system a “massive fraud” on the people of Punjab and a “curtain to shield its corrupt MLAs.”
In a press statement, Brahmpura, a former MLA and the SAD Vice President, alleged that while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal are trying to win accolades through large-scale advertisements for their ‘War Against Drugs’, the ground reality is the “complete opposite and terrifying.”
“It is a bitter truth that the smugglers bringing in consignments of drugs and weapons via drones have the patronage of AAP MLA,” he claimed.
Raising serious questions about the government’s performance, Brahmpura stated, “Aam Aadmi Party MLAs are openly interfering in the work of the Punjab Police, threatening them to secure the release of their drug-smuggling associates.” He further alleged that these MLAs are using their political influence to “mislead not only the honorable courts but also Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Punjab Governor.”
Commenting on the role of the Assembly Speaker, he said, “It is extremely unfortunate that Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, who is responsible for protecting the Constitution, has maintained a silence on this serious issue out of fear of bringing disrepute to his own government.”
Brahmpura posed a direct question to the AAP leadership: “Kejriwal ji, is your ‘Baaz Akh’ only for keeping an eye on opposition leaders? Do you not have a system that can identify the anti-Punjab elements sitting within your own party who are destroying the youth of Punjab?”
The Akali leader demanded that if CM Mann and Kejriwal have “any political morality left,” they must immediately seek the resignations of the tainted MLAs and present a “complete account of their anti-national activities” before the public. “The people of Punjab are no longer in a mood to tolerate this deception,” he concluded
