California/Chandigarh – The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) led by Satnam Singh Chahal has strongly condemned the Punjab government’s failure to act against those responsible for the killing of Punjab farmer Shubhkaran Singh, who was shot dead during the farmers’ protest at the Punjab-Haryana border.
Chahal said that it is shameful and ironic that the Haryana Chief Minister, under whose administration this tragic killing occurred, is now coming to Punjab making tall political claims — while the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government remains silent.
“Two parties, one mindset — silence and complicity. The people of Punjab will never forget this double standard,” Chahal stated, demanding immediate and decisive action from the Punjab government.
He added that NAPA stands in full solidarity with Punjab’s farmers and urges the Punjab Chief Minister to rise above party politics and take firm steps to secure justice for the family of Shubhkaran Singh.
“NAPA will continue to raise this issue on international platforms until the culprits are brought to justice,” Chahal concluded.
