Amritsar: Senior Congress leader and MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who also serves as President of the All India Kisan Wing of the AICC, visited the bereaved family of District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa in Amritsar and expressed deep condolences over the tragic incident.

During the visit, Khaira met family members and shared their grief, assuring them of his full support in their fight for justice. He termed the incident “deeply unfortunate” and raised serious questions over the circumstances that led to the tragedy.

Addressing the media, Khaira demanded the immediate arrest of Punjab minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, holding him accountable in the matter. He stated that mere resignation would not suffice and emphasized that strict legal action must follow to ensure justice for the victim’s family.

“Visited the bereaved family of DM Gagandeep Randhawa in Amritsar. We demand justice and the immediate arrest of Laljit Bhullar,” Khaira said.

He further alleged administrative failure and called for a transparent and time-bound investigation into the case. Khaira also urged the Punjab government to act swiftly, warning that any delay in justice would erode public trust in the system.

The visit comes amid growing political pressure on the state government, with opposition leaders intensifying demands for accountability and justice in the case.
