Jobanpreet Singh and Atish Singh face Multiple Charges in Major Auto Theft Investigation

Milton, Ontario: Two Brampton residents are facing a long list of criminal charges following an investigation into alleged vehicle theft activities in the Greater Toronto Area.According to police, Jobanpreet Singh, 21, of Brampton, has been charged with several offences, including possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a counterfeit mark, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of break-in instruments, possession of an automobile master key, possession of an electronic device suitable for committing motor vehicle theft, and obstructing a peace officer.

Investigators further revealed that at the time of his arrest, Jobanpreet Singh was allegedly wanted on a warrant issued by the Canada Border Services Agency. Police also stated that he was in Canada on a student visa.A second accused, Atish Singh, 26, of Brampton, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a counterfeit mark, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of break-in instruments, possession of an automobile master key, possession of an electronic device suitable for committing motor vehicle theft, flight from police, assault with a weapon, assault with intent to resist arrest, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and disguise with intent.

Police allege that the charges stem from an investigation into vehicle theft-related activities. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the arrests.Both accused were held in custody and were scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Milton. The allegations against the two men have not been proven in court.The case remains under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information related to vehicle theft activities to contact investigators or local authorities.
