PEEL REGION, Ontario: Peel Regional Police have arrested 10 individuals and laid 128 charges following an extensive investigation into a series of violent carjackings and high-end vehicle thefts across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).The investigation, known as Project High Guard, focused on 21 incidents reported between June 2025 and April 2026. According to police, some of the incidents involved knives and firearms, physical assaults and victims suffering severe injuries.

Among those arrested are Ekamveer Randhawa, 20, of Halton Hills; Shan Dhindsa, 20, of Brampton; and Aryan Deol, 20, also of Brampton. Police identified seven other individuals in connection with the investigation, including two 17-year-olds whose names have not been released.

Investigators said the inquiry uncovered an alleged coordinated criminal network extending beyond the individuals who directly carried out the robberies. Police allege that different members were involved in targeting vehicles, organizing robberies, recruiting younger offenders and profiting from the criminal activity.

Following coordinated search warrants on September 3, investigators arrested the 10 individuals and laid more than 100 charges. Police reported recovering 15 stolen vehicles valued at approximately $1.4 million and seizing four illegal firearms, along with ammunition and magazines.

The investigation received funding from the Ontario government’s Ministry of the Solicitor General, with support from Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario. The Ontario Provincial Police provided investigative assistance, intelligence and specialized resources. Toronto, Halton and Hamilton police services also assisted in executing warrants on the day of the arrests.

Peel Regional Police said the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Robbery Bureau at 905-453-2121, extension 3410.

Police also reported that vehicle thefts across Peel Region have declined by more than 50 per cent since peaking in 2023, with a further 10 per cent decrease recorded year-to-date in 2026.

The case highlights the continuing law-enforcement focus on organized vehicle theft and violent carjackings across the GTA. The allegations against the accused have not been proven in court, and all accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
