Mann Urged to Focus on Completing Unfinished Stadium Instead of New Announcements; Brahmpura Calls for Accountability

SAD Vice President, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, addresses journalists in Chohla Sahib, accompanied by fellow party leaders

Tarn Taran – Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Vice President of the Shiromani Akali Dal and former MLA, today criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s recent announcement regarding the construction of playgrounds in 12,500 villages, labeling it yet another “hollow promise.” Brahmpura emphasized that the residents of Punjab are weary of empty commitments and are demanding tangible action.

During a tour of his constituency in the historic town of Chohla Sahib, Brahmpura stated, “While the Chief Minister’s concern for rescuing the youth from drug addiction is commendable, genuine solutions do not arise from superficial announcements. What our youth urgently need are completed playgrounds, not promises etched on paper.”
Directly addressing the Chief Minister, Brahmpura further remarked, “I implore Mann to refrain from misleading the public with new proclamations and instead concentrate on the substantial sports stadium located in Sri Goindwal Sahib, which was initiated during the SAD administration but remains unfinished. Completing this project, which was started by the Shiromani Akali Dal, would earn my gratitude and that of my constituents.” He pointed out that the failure to complete this vital facility is a direct consequence of the combined ineptitude of both the previous Congress and the current AAP government, leaving the youth deprived of necessary amenities.
Brahmpura added, “The AAP government must recognize that it is more crucial to finalize existing projects than to lay new foundations. The stadium in Sri Goindwal Sahib, with land already available, can be completed affordably and stands to be a significant boon for our border-region youth.”
He concluded by stating, “The true battle against drug abuse begins with accessible playgrounds, not police stations; however, those spaces must first be established. If the Chief Minister is able to finish our incomplete stadium, it will be his most concrete and visible action in the ongoing fight against drugs. We are prepared to transcend political divides and extend our full cooperation to the AAP government for the advancement of our constituency, provided that the government’s intentions are transparent and go beyond mere announcements. The Shiromani Akali Dal will persist in holding the AAP government accountable for its empty promises and will continue to advocate for the rights of the Khadoor Sahib constituency.”
Present at the event were Amrik Singh, Bawa Singh, Gurdev Singh, farmer leader; Manjinder Singh Latti; Dr. Jatinder Singh; Balbir Singh Balli; Subedar Harbans Singh; and Gurinder Singh, youth leader.
