Punjab Cannot Be a Playground for Political Experiments-NAPA

Milpitas(California) The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), under the leadership of Satnam Singh Chahal, expresses deep concern and outrage over the ongoing political and administrative decline in Punjab. Punjab, once the backbone of India’s economy and pride of its people, is today being pushed into uncertainty, instability, and systematic weakening. NAPA has consistently raised alarms about governance failures, rising lawlessness, unchecked illegal migration networks, and the collapse of institutional accountability. Unfortunately, instead of addressing these critical issues, those in power have chosen distraction, propaganda, and blame games.

The current government, led by the Aam Aadmi Party, has failed to live up to its promises. Punjab is not a laboratory for political experimentation or remote-controlled governance. Decisions affecting millions cannot be dictated from outside the state, nor can the dignity of Punjab be compromised for political survival. At the same time, NAPA notes that the growing political pressure from the Bharatiya Janata Party is reshaping the political landscape. While accountability of the ruling government is necessary, Punjab must not become collateral damage in a larger national power struggle. Political one-upmanship cannot come at the cost of Punjab’s stability and future.

Chahal further said that “Punjab is bleeding economically, socially, and politically. Our youth are leaving, our farmers are struggling, and our governance systems are weakening. This is not the Punjab we know. NAPA will not remain silent while political forces, whether through incompetence or calculation, push Punjab towards decline.”

NAPA strongly condemns all actions, policies, and political strategies that have contributed to the weakening of Punjab’s economy, law and order, and social fabric. The organisation demands immediate corrective measures, transparent governance, and accountability at all levels.Punjab’s future cannot be sacrificed for political narratives. It is time to put Punjab first. added Chahal
