Ranjit Singh Arrested After Reckless Driving Video Goes Viral

Brampton-Region of Peel – A man has been arrested and charged following a viral video that captured reckless driving on the streets of Brampton, raising concerns about public safety.

The video, which quickly circulated online, showed a white Lexus sedan dangerously using the sidewalk to bypass traffic and narrowly missing pedestrians. Safer Roads Team (SRT) officers launched an investigation and confirmed that the incident took place on June 11, 2025, along Bovaird Drive West near Gillingham Drive.

On July 9, 56-year-old Ranjit Singh of Brampton was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation and Stunt Driving. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. As part of the immediate enforcement actions, Singh’s driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and his 2020 Lexus IS300 was impounded for 14 days.
