This is not just relief, but a promise from Sukhbir Badal to the people – Brahmpura

SAD Khadoor Sahib constituency in-charge Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, along with Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke and other senior leaders, flags off trucks of relief material for flood victims in Tarn Taran on Sunday.

Tarn Taran – Fulfilling a promise made by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal, senior party leader and Khadoor Sahib constituency in-charge Ravinder Singh Brahmpura on Sunday dispatched significant relief aid for flood-affected farmers in the region.

The aid consignment, flagged off from Chohla Sahib, included five trucks of maize silage for cattle and 5,000 litres of diesel. The diesel is intended to fuel machinery being used by farmers and volunteers working to repair breached river embankments.
The dispatch of aid comes just days after a high-level SAD committee, comprising senior leaders Sikandar Singh Maluka, Jathedar Gulzar Singh Ranike, Mantar Singh Brar, and Kanwarjit Singh ‘Rosy’ Barkandi, Suba Singh Badal, Sher Singh Mand, Gurtaj Singh Dhillon conducted an on-ground assessment of the damages in the Khadoor constituency.
Speaking to the media, Brahmpura slammed the AAP-led state government for its alleged apathy towards the flood victims. “The Shiromani Akali Dal has once again proven it is the true well-wisher of Punjab’s farmers and its people,” he stated. “While the AAP government remains inert and offers only empty promises, our party, under the decisive leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal, has delivered tangible support within days of assessing the situation.”
Reaffirming his party’s commitment, Brahmpura emphatically assured the people, “This is not just relief material; it is a promise fulfilled. Whether the government supports you or not, the Shiromani Akali Dal will always stand with the people of Punjab like a rock.”
Prominent leaders present on the occasion included Tarn Taran District President Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke, SGPC member Gurbachan Singh Karmoonwala, senior leader Satnam Singh Chohla Sahib, and other local Akali leaders.
