Once again, the Aam Aadmi Party government has shamelessly handed over business contracts worth crores of rupees to outsiders for organizing its Moga rally, completely sidelining Punjab’s own traders and event industry. This repeated pattern of ignoring local businesses has sparked deep anger, frustration, and resentment across the Punjabi business community.
This was disclosed here by Satnam Singh Chahal executive director North American Punjabi Association(NAPA) in a press release issued today. Chahal said that Local traders, already struggling in a fragile economy, see this move as a direct betrayal a blatant signal that the government neither trusts nor values the skills and dedication of Punjab’s own professionals. Questions are now pouring in from all corners: why are opportunities that rightfully belong to Punjabis being outsourced time and again?
This reckless decision has severely damaged the government’s credibility and widened the rift between the ruling party and Punjab’s economic backbone its entrepreneurs and local traders.
Chahal appeals to the people of Punjab to open their eyes and raise their voices before it is too late. If this pattern continues unchecked, the consequences for Punjab’s businesses and local economy could be catastrophic. The time to act is now Punjab cannot afford to be sidelined in its own land.
