Pargat Singh Demands CAG Probe into Kejriwal’s Punjab Expenditure

Chandigarh: Senior Congress leader and MLA Pargat Singh has intensified his attack on Arvind Kejriwal following revelations in the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report regarding the controversial “Sheesh Mahal” government bungalow.

Taking to social media, Singh alleged that the report has exposed what he termed as Kejriwal’s “hypocrisy,” and called for a similar audit exercise in Punjab. He demanded that the CAG conduct a thorough probe into the expenditure incurred on accommodation and services provided to Kejriwal and other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party visiting from Delhi.

According to Singh, various media reports have indicated that crores of rupees may have been spent from Punjab’s treasury on hosting and facilitating AAP leadership. He stressed that such spending, if true, raises serious concerns about the misuse of public funds.

“Full disclosure is essential to expose any misuse of Punjab’s treasury and taxpayers’ money by the AAP leadership,” Singh stated, urging the Punjab government to maintain transparency and accountability in public expenditure.

The demand is likely to further escalate political tensions in Punjab, as opposition leaders continue to question the financial decisions and governance practices of the ruling AAP government.
