Balbir Singh Sidhu slams ‘Jhadu Party’, says own leaders being sidelined

Mohali-Senior Congress leader and former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, while inaugurating his new office in Phase-10, launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party during a press conference, stating that the party is now deeply fractured from within and is systematically sidelining its own leaders and workers.

Sidhu said that a party which once championed honesty has today begun ignoring its most dedicated and hardworking cadre. He remarked that party workers feel abandoned, while leaders are increasingly being pushed to quit, reflecting a serious internal breakdown.

Alleging widespread malpractice, Sidhu said the ‘Jhadu Party’ has vitiated Punjab’s political environment by selling tickets. He claimed that decisions were driven by money power, while those who devoted years of service to the party were overlooked, leading to widespread resentment within its ranks.

Targeting the government on the power front, Sidhu said that the same party which made tall promises of “free electricity” before coming to power has failed to deliver any meaningful relief. Instead, people are grappling with frequent power outages and rising electricity bills—clear evidence, he said, of the government reneging on its commitments.

He further added that the government has completely failed in managing the power sector. Despite its tall claims, persistent outages and inflated bills continue to burden the public, exposing what he termed as anti-people policies.

Sidhu asserted that the true face of the Aam Aadmi Party now stands exposed before the people. According to him, the government is driven by propaganda and hollow promises, while failing to perform on the ground.

In conclusion, Sidhu said that the people of Punjab are now fully aware and will deliver a decisive response to this underperforming government in the times ahead.
