Halton Regional-According to reports from the Halton Regional Police Service, a 25-year-old Uber driver named Mandeep Singh from Etobicoke was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault.
The incident took place on June 16, beginning in the south parking lot of the Burlington GO Station on Fairview Street. According to police statements, the driver approached an adult woman around 5:15 p.m., engaged her in conversation, and allegedly sexually assaulted her. When the victim attempted to leave the area, the suspect followed her to a nearby business, where he allegedly assaulted her a second time.
Following an investigation conducted by the Halton police Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit, the suspect was arrested and held for a bail hearing in Milton. Authorities have since released information and images of the suspect as they believe there may be additional victims, and they are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact the police.
