CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of being a “typical chronic AAP liar” who survives on denial, deceit and lies. Warring was reacting to Mann’s denial about paper leaks having taken place during his tenure in Punjab.Several Congress MPs today again staged a protest against the paper leaks to coincide with the passage of a new law on examinations in the parliament. They included Warring, Dr Amar Singh, Gurjeet Aujla and Dr Dharamvir Gandhi. He pointed out how the Chief Minister was shamelessly denying that any paper leaks took place in Punjab during his tenure. He said, among others, the paper leaks of pharmacists’ exam and the Plus two English paper are still fresh in the memory of people.
“IF Mann believes that he can use the formula of telling a lie 100 times to make it sound true, he is badly mistaken”, the PCC president noted while telling the Chief Minister that denial will not provide any escape route to him.
The PCC president said that the formula is simple. “Like the union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned at the centre over paper leaks, so must the Punjab minister resign in Punjab”, he said, adding that the AAP cannot avoid removing the minister using lies.
Warring also criticized the Chief Minister for the brutal treatment meted out to the MGNREGA workers who were demanding their salaries.
He said the AAP government was lying to MGNREGA workers also by trying to divert the issue and seek their regularization through the government of India. He said, if the AAP government is sincere and serious in regularizing the MGNREGA workers, why does it need to write to the central government, which does not have any regularization policy, to do it on its own.
The PCC president said, on both issues, about the paper leaks and regularisation of the MGNREGA workers, the AAP was using denial and deceit that is its core policy of governance.
