WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced the arrest of an illegal alien, Anmol Anmol, who was issued a commercial driver’s license (CDL) by the state of New York to “No Name Given Anmol.”On September 23, 2025, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol encountered Anmol during a routine inspection at a truck scale on I-40. Record checks conducted by ICE revealed Anmol is an illegal alien from India. ICE arrested him and placed him in removal proceedings.
He entered the U.S. illegally in 2023 and was released by the Biden administration into the country. The arrest was part of a successful three-day enforcement operation on targeted threats to public safety along I-40 in Oklahoma. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s operation was made possible by Oklahoma’s 287(g) partnership.
“Allowing illegal aliens to obtain commercial driver’s licenses to operate 18-wheelers and transport hazardous materials on America’s roads is reckless and incredibly dangerous to public safety. Thanks to the successful 287g partnership of ICE and Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Anmol Anmol is no longer posing a threat to drivers,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “New York is not only failing to check if applicants applying to drive 18-wheelers are U.S. citizens but even failing to obtain the full legal names of individuals they are issuing commercial drivers’ licenses to. DHS is working with our state and local partners to get illegal alien truck drivers who often don’t know basic traffic laws off our highways.”
In September, Marcus Coleman spoke out about ICE’s arrest of an illegal alien who caused a multi-vehicle wreck while driving an 18-wheeler in California, leaving his 5-year-old daughter, Dalilah with critical, life altering injuries. In August, ICE lodged an arrest detainer for a criminal illegal alien—Harjinder Singh— following his arrest for three counts of vehicular homicide while driving a semi-truck in Florida.
DHS law enforcement is protecting American communities every day from another senseless tragedy like this taking place in another town, to another family. Victims of illegal alien crime may receive support from the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office by contacting 1-855-488-6423.
that he will arrange money for punjab if his party will win
Before the Punjab Assembly elections of 2022, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), made several grand promises to the people of Punjab — and one of his most repeated assurances was that “money will not be a problem” if AAP came to power.
Here’s a detailed recall of what he said and implied during his pre-election campaign:
🗣️ Kejriwal’s Core Claim: “Punjab is not poor, its money is being looted.”
Kejriwal repeatedly said in his rallies and press conferences across Punjab (especially in 2021 and early 2022) that Punjab has enough resources, but corruption and misuse by earlier governments (Congress and Akali Dal) had made the state financially weak.
He asserted that once AAP came to power and stopped the “loot,” there would be enough money to:
Give ₹1,000 per month to every woman above 18 years of age.
Provide free electricity up to 300 units per household.
Improve schools, hospitals, and job opportunities without raising taxes.
His direct quote from several speeches was along the lines of:
“Punjab da paisa Delhi nahi jaavega, yeh paisa Punjab de logaan te kharch hoyega.”
(“Punjab’s money will not go to Delhi; it will be spent on the people of Punjab.”)
💰 Promise of Ending Corruption to Fund Welfare
Kejriwal promised that AAP’s governance model — as he claimed to have shown in Delhi — would eliminate corruption, which would “save thousands of crores” to be spent on public welfare.
He told voters:
“In Delhi, we ended corruption and saved money. We built world-class schools and mohalla clinics. We will do the same in Punjab.”
He often claimed Punjab could save ₹20,000–₹30,000 crore annually just by plugging leakages in government spending and mafia networks (sand, liquor, transport, etc.).
🏗️ No New Taxes – Only Better Governance
Kejriwal assured Punjabis that no new taxes would be imposed and that funds would come from efficiency and honesty in administration.
He claimed that Delhi’s “model” — free power, free education, and good hospitals — was proof that “if corruption is stopped, the government can serve people even with limited resources.”
⚠️ The Contrast Today
Three years later, critics point out that Punjab’s debt has reached record levels, despite these pre-election claims.
While Kejriwal had said “money will come from ending corruption,” the Punjab government under Bhagwant Mann has instead taken massive new loans, arguing that the debt was necessary to fund development and welfare programs.
The opposition and many analysts now accuse Kejriwal of misleading Punjabis before 2022 by implying that AAP could deliver all promises without financial strain — an assurance that has clearly not materialized.

Subject: Urgent Appeal to Intervene and Prevent the Sale of Punjab’s Heritage Properties and Historic Buildings
Respected Sir,
On behalf of the North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), I, Satnam Singh Chahal, wish to draw your kind attention to the deeply concerning reports that the Punjab Government is moving forward with the sale or transfer of several heritage and historically significant properties belonging to the state. These properties are not mere structures of land and brick; they represent the collective memory, culture, and identity of Punjabis across the world.
It is extremely distressing to witness that the very buildings and sites which carry the legacy of Punjab’s glorious past are being treated as commercial assets. The sale of such properties would not only erode our cultural fabric but also send a painful message to the Punjabi diaspora that their roots and heritage are being auctioned off in the name of short-term financial gain.
Punjab’s heritage is the pride of every Punjabi—irrespective of religion, region, or political affiliation. Generations before us preserved these symbols of our history through hardships, wars, and economic challenges. It is therefore the moral responsibility of today’s leadership to safeguard, restore, and promote these heritage sites, rather than sell them for revenue generation.
NAPA respectfully requests your kind intervention to:
Immediately direct the Punjab Government to halt any ongoing or proposed sale, lease, or transfer of historic and heritage properties.
Constitute a Heritage Protection Committee comprising historians, conservationists, and community representatives to review the cultural and historical significance of such assets before any administrative action is taken.
Encourage the state government to explore alternative models such as public-private partnerships or heritage tourism projects for the sustainable preservation of these sites.
Your timely action can prevent irreversible damage to Punjab’s cultural identity and uphold the pride of Punjabis everywhere. NAPA stands ready to extend all possible cooperation and expertise from the global Punjabi community to help preserve these invaluable treasures.
Thanking you,
With highest regards,
