Mohali-Senior Congress leader and former Health Minister S. Balbir Singh Sidhu welcomed 60–70 young people from various villages and towns of the Mohali Assembly constituency into the Congress party at his office in Phase-1 Industrial Area. The youth joined the Congress under the leadership of Imran Khan Happy Malik Ji, Convener, Punjab Minority Department, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, from Jujhar Nagar.
On the occasion, Balbir Singh Sidhu welcomed all the youth who joined the Congress family and said that young people are the greatest strength of any society and country. The growing association of youth with the Congress clearly indicates that people are connecting with the party’s pro-people policies and ideology.
He said that the Congress party has always raised its voice for the rights of the people, the future of the youth, employment, development and communal harmony. Today’s younger generation is concerned about the future of Punjab and wants a form of politics that does not remain limited to promises but works at the grassroots level to resolve people’s problems.
Sidhu said that every Congress worker stands shoulder to shoulder with the people, and the role of the youth will remain crucial in further strengthening the party in the coming times. He appealed to the youth to understand the problems faced by the people and play an active role in strengthening democracy.
