Milpitas(California/Chandigarh/Jalandhar-The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), representing the concerns of the Punjabi diaspora, humbly appeals to the public, social media users and members of the Punjabi community not to read too much into the words “thah thah” spoken by Little Sidhu, the young brother of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, into a microphone during a show in Canada.A child who is only two-and-a-half years old is at an age when speech, behaviour and expressions are spontaneous and developing. His words should be understood in the context of his tender age and innocence rather than subjected to unnecessary interpretation, speculation or controversy. Adults must exercise responsibility and avoid placing meanings or intentions on a toddler’s words without proper context.

NAPA Appeals for Compassion Towards Sidhu Moosewala’s Family. The legacy of Sidhu Moosewala continues to hold a special place in the hearts of millions of his admirers across Punjab and around the world. His younger brother, Little Sidhu, is a very young child who deserves the same love, care, privacy and freedom to grow up as any other child. His parents and family should be allowed to nurture him without every public appearance or innocent expression becoming the subject of intense scrutiny.

Satnam Singh Chahal, Executive Director of NAPA, said that the Punjabi community, particularly Sidhu Moosewala’s admirers, should approach the matter with sensitivity and maturity. “We humbly request everyone not to read too much into a two-and-a-half-year-old child saying ‘thah thah’ into a microphone. He is a little child, and his words should not be turned into an unnecessary controversy. Let us respect his innocence and show consideration for his parents and family.”NAPA emphasises that public discussion should be guided by compassion rather than speculation. The organisation appeals to people in Punjab, Canada, the United States and elsewhere to refrain from drawing sweeping conclusions from a young child’s words. Little Sidhu deserves a childhood filled with love and protection, not the burden of adult controversy.
