According to Majithia, the central anti-money laundering agency has pressed the Punjab Police to lodge an FIR against Rajbir Ghuman, Nitin Gohal, and their associates. The SAD leader asserted that the ED has furnished a substantial dossier containing comprehensive evidence—including chats, screenshots, and certified electronic records detailing serious allegations of corruption and abuse of official influence.   Questioning the administration’s intent, Majithia accused the state police machinery of shielding those under scrutiny ahead of an impending hearing in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The controversy stems from ongoing central investigations into alleged land fraud, illicit interference in administrative transfers and postings, and financial irregularities linked to associates of key government functionaries. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government faces mounting political pressure as the opposition escalates its campaign ahead of the court proceedings, demanding full transparency and accountability from the Chief Minister.
