Punjab will be made a hub of AI: Chairman Gurpal Singh


Meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Education Officers

Amritsar -Mr. Gurpal Singh, Chairman, Developed India Project AI, Government of India, visited Amritsar district. On this occasion, he held meetings with Deputy Commissioner Mr Dalwinderjit Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr Surinder Singh and the District Education Officer.

On this occasion, Chairman Gurpal Singh said that within the next one year, at least one crore youth will be connected with AI (Artificial Intelligence). The Chairman said that AI is the future of children. He spoke in detail about Skilling for AI. Giving information about the readiness program, he said that this project should be implemented smoothly in all the schools of the district without any hindrance; in this regard, he has already been informed through letters from time to time.

He said that the education department has been instructed to upload the information of students of classes 6 to 12 (government and private) on the portal. He said that all the school heads are being shared with detailed information about various AI tools, ChatGPT, Grok, Meta, Gemini and Instagram.

Chairman Gurpal Singh further said that we will make our children AI developers; they will learn to make AI tools themselves and the facility of AI will be made available to every student.
