New Delhi, September 4, 2026: Senior Congress leader and former Punjab MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra on Friday attended a key organisational meeting at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters here, convened as part of the party’s Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan for Raebareli district in Uttar Pradesh. The meeting was called by AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal. Nagra participated along with Uttar Pradesh in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam, War Room Chairman Sasikanth Senthil, and Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Vamshi Reddy.
The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan is Congress’s nationwide campaign to rebuild and strengthen the party organisation from the booth level upward. Raebareli, a politically significant district long associated with the Gandhi family, has been a focus of recent organisational activity under the campaign. Nagra himself has been active on the ground there in recent weeks, addressing workers’ meetings and stressing the need to activate cadres at the village and booth level.
Nagra, a two-time former MLA from Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab and former working president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, has earlier organisational links with Raebareli. He previously served as in-charge of the Harchandpur assembly segment when Sonia Gandhi contested from the parliamentary constituency.
The presence of senior functionaries including the party’s organisation in-charge, the UP in-charge, the war-room head, and a CWC member indicates the high command’s close monitoring of organisational work in the district as Congress prepares for future electoral battles in Uttar Pradesh.Nagra shared details of the meeting on social media, noting the discussions held at the AICC office in New Delhi. The campaign continues to emphasise unity, grassroots mobilisation, and connecting the party’s message of constitutional values and social justice with voters at the last mile.
