Sukhdev Singh and Anmol Anmole Cases Raise Questions Over U.S. Trucking Licence Checks

Washington DC-The cases involving Sukhdev Singh and Anmol Anmol have raised questions about commercial driver’s licence verification and road-safety oversight in the United States, as federal authorities intensify efforts to investigate suspected licensing irregularities.

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Sukhdev Singh, an Indian national, was arrested in March 2026 following a semi-truck crash in Indianapolis that critically injured a pedestrian. DHS said he held a commercial driver’s licence issued by New York.

In a separate case, DHS reported that Anmol Anmol was encountered during a truck inspection in Oklahoma in September 2025 and subsequently arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The department also raised questions about the identity information recorded on his New York commercial driver’s licence.

These cases form part of broader scrutiny of commercial driver licensing, including identity checks, training, testing and the responsibilities of licensing agencies and trucking businesses. Federal authorities have urged the public to report suspected commercial driver’s licence fraud. <Cite refs={[“turn490823search0″,”turn490823search1”]} />

The key question is whether all required checks were properly conducted before the drivers were allowed to operate heavy commercial vehicles. If violations are established, accountability should extend to every responsible party—not just the drivers. At the same time, allegations must be distinguished from proven offences, and nationality alone must never be treated as evidence of wrongdoing.

Editorial note: Federal reporting spells the second individual’s name “Anmol Anmol.” Please confirm whether “Anmol Anmole” is the intended spelling before publication.
