Sandeep Singh and Vikramjeet Maingi, charged for Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Brampton – Two firearms have been seized by investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) following a series of search warrants executed in Brampton and Mississauga.

The investigation began on Saturday, June 7, 2025, after a shooting was reported on Rambler Drive in Brampton. Following weeks of inquiries, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, officers carried out two residential search warrants and one vehicle search warrant.

As a result, police recovered two 9mm Glock 43X handguns with loaded magazines, a quantity of drugs, cash, and a re-vinned SUV.

Two men from Brampton now face multiple charges.

Sandeep Singh, 30, has been charged with:

  • Discharge Firearm in Reckless Manner

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

  • Possession of Altered Serial Number

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

Vikramjeet Maingi, 24, has been charged with:

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

  • Possession of Altered Serial Number
