SANGRUR: Congress MP from Amritsar Gurjeet Singh Aujla described the historic Insaaf Rally held in Sangrur as a powerful demonstration of unity within the Congress party, saying the massive public gathering reflected Punjab’s growing demand for justice, accountability and political change.
The rally was led by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, bringing together prominent party leaders, elected representatives and a large number of Congress workers and supporters.
Reacting to the gathering, Aujla said that the participation of people from different parts of Punjab demonstrated that their voices and concerns could no longer be ignored.
In his message, Aujla highlighted the importance of unity within the Congress organisation and said the rally represented a collective demand for justice and accountability in Punjab.
He also acknowledged the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, whose presence gave national significance to the gathering.
The Sangrur rally brought together Punjab Congress leaders, including newly appointed Punjab Congress president Pargat Singh, legislators, MPs and party representatives. The participation of leaders and workers from different regions was an important feature of the gathering.
Aujla’s message also underlined the need for the Congress to remain connected with ordinary people and raise issues affecting Punjab rather than allowing public concerns to go unheard.
With the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections approaching, the rally has provided an opportunity for Congress leaders to demonstrate their organisational strength and present their political position on the issues confronting the state.
Aujla’s message was clear: Punjab’s demand for justice, accountability and change deserves to be heard, and the people’s voice cannot be ignored.
