Khaira Reiterates Demand for Immediate Transfer of “Corrupt & Tainted” BDPO Kulwinder Randhawa

Senior Congress leader and MLA from Bholath, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, today reiterated his demand for the immediate transfer of BDPO Nadala, Kulwinder Randhawa, out of District Kapurthala, following the exposure of yet another corruption scandal amounting to approximately ₹60 lakhs, details of which have been highlighted in his recent X post.

Khaira stated that the ₹60 lakh corruption scam was unearthed by none other than AAP Minister Taranpreet Singh Sond, who had earlier ordered Randhawa’s suspension. “It is shocking that an officer who was suspended on corruption charges by his own government has been reinstated and continues to hold office in Kapurthala district,” Khaira said.

He questioned how a tainted and corrupt officer facing serious allegations of financial irregularities can be entrusted with public office and expected to render justice in administrative matters.

Khaira further made a serious allegation that BDPO Kulwinder Randhawa illegally and unconstitutionally demolished a portion of his property under a clear quid pro quo arrangement. He alleged that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured the officer that both pending corruption cases against him would be withdrawn if he carried out the demolition of Khaira’s property.

“This brazen misuse of power and vindictive action is nothing but political vendetta. The demolition was carried out without due process of law and in complete violation of constitutional safeguards,” Khaira asserted.

He said the sequence of events strongly indicates that the demolition was not an administrative act but a politically motivated action aimed at settling personal scores.

Khaira demanded:
1. Immediate transfer of BDPO Kulwinder Randhawa out of Kapurthala district.
2. A high-level independent probe into the ₹60 lakh corruption scam.
3. Judicial inquiry into the illegal demolition of his property.
4. Disclosure of all pending corruption cases against the officer and reasons for his reinstatement.

Khaira warned that failure to act against corrupt officers would further erode public trust in governance and strengthen the perception that the AAP government is shielding tainted officials for political purposes.

“Punjab cannot be run through intimidation, vendetta and backdoor deals. Rule of law must prevail,” Khaira added.
