Armaan Gill Driver Charged in Fatal Mississauga Collision That Killed 20-Year-Old Passenger

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have charged a 22-year-old Mississauga man with multiple serious offenses following a fatal motor vehicle collision that claimed the life of his passenger.

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 1:47 p.m. at the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Vista Boulevard in Mississauga. According to Peel Regional Police, a blue Mazda 3 traveling northbound on Erin Mills Parkway collided with a silver Jeep Cherokee that was heading southbound and making a left turn onto Vista Boulevard. The impact caused the Mazda to lose control and crash into a nearby pole.

Police have identified speed as a primary contributing factor in the collision. The driver of the Mazda, Armaan Gill, was allegedly traveling at 140 km/h in a 70 km/h zone at the time of the crash—exactly double the posted speed limit.

Both occupants of the Mazda were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Tragically, the passenger—a 20-year-old Mississauga man—succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was not seriously injured in the collision.

Following the investigation, Gill has been charged with several serious offenses including Dangerous Operation Causing Death, Operation While Impaired Causing Death (Drugs), Possession for the Purpose of Distributing, Race a Motor Vehicle, Speeding, Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt, and Driver – Fail to Properly Wear Seat Belt.
